Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year to everyone!

Another year is coming to an end and it was challenging for all of us in many different ways. We all hope for a better 2022 where we hopefully can be in touch and close contact again with family and friends.

I will be having a break from the 20th of December until the 4th of January and again from the 15th to the 24th of January.

If you want to make an enquiry during these periods, please contact me through my contact page on my website. I will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

I wish you all a wonderful Christmas time and a happy and healthy New Year and look forward to seeing you back in 2022.

Thank you very much for your loyalty and trust throughout these difficult times!

Best wishes!

Martina

COVID-19 UPDATE 8th of August 2021

Due to the ongoing high number of COVID infections in NSW, I will just do emergency consultations during the lockdown in August and from September still working reduced hours and days in the clinic until the situation is easing.

What does that mean for you?

  1. Emergency/urgent treatments in August: appointments are available every Saturday, please call me asap to arrange appointments

  2. From September: everyone is welcome to make an appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays only, Saturdays if you can’t come on a weekday and other emergencies outside of these hours can be discussed.

Some important measures we need to implement:

  1. Please wait either outside, in front of the sliding door or in the car until I call you or let you in, to avoid having clients sitting in the waiting area together.

  2. You have to wear a mask coming into the clinic.

  3. At the door there will be hand sanitiser available and the QR code to sign in.

  4. I will take everyone’s temperature upon arrival.

  5. Also, please do not attend the clinic in case you are not feeling well, or have been in a hotspot area/LGA, or need to isolate.

I am sorry for the inconvenience, especially that so many of you are used to their regular time and treatment but that was the best possible option to move forward at the moment. I hope for your understanding and truly believe that we get through this and come back to a normal setting at some point.

Please do not hesitate to ring or email me if you have any questions or concerns. Otherwise, I hope to see you all back sometime in September!

Keep a good spirit, be patient and kind to each other!

All and foremost - take care and keep safe!

Getting the Lymph System and Manual Lymph Drainage more into my focus...

After I have come back from another very inspiring and informative Lymphology Conference last week, I have decided to dedicate my work more to clients with a compromised Lymph System.

What does that mean and whom does it concern?

In Australia, compare to Germany where I have worked many years in Physiotherapy, we are in need of more dedicated Manual Lymph Therapist who serve people with Lymphoedema after injury or trauma in general and after cancer treatment which can affect the Lymph System either through radiation or Lymph node dissection.

Prospective surveillance and early intervention can help identifying Lymphoedema in an early stage and can help to minimise the long term impact on a patient’s life. I am dedicated to work with clients to generate a greater understanding of the condition and the mental impact it can have. What is also included in my work is developing a treatment/management plan as well as insuring the implementation of self treatment and care. I can provide the client with the relevant exercises and garment choice including measuring and fitting if needed.

Please follow the link below to learn more about how Lymph Drainage can help with your condition and what other positive effects it may has.

COVID-Restrictions lifted for now

Dear Clients,

I am glad that I can announce that Covid-restrictions have been lifted in NSW again and you don’t need to wear a face mask while attending our services at the moment. Please stay vigilant and if you experience any Covid symptoms don’t attend your appointment and get tested.

You still should sign in with the Covid Safe App before entering the clinic in order to support the tracing of NSW Health in case of an outbreak in the area.

Thank you very much for your understanding and I look forward to seeing you soon!
