Getting the Lymph System and Manual Lymph Drainage more into my focus...
/After I have come back from another very inspiring and informative Lymphology Conference last week, I have decided to dedicate my work more to clients with a compromised Lymph System.
What does that mean and whom does it concern?
In Australia, compare to Germany where I have worked many years in Physiotherapy, we are in need of more dedicated Manual Lymph Therapist who serve people with Lymphoedema after injury or trauma in general and after cancer treatment which can affect the Lymph System either through radiation or Lymph node dissection.
Prospective surveillance and early intervention can help identifying Lymphoedema in an early stage and can help to minimise the long term impact on a patient’s life. I am dedicated to work with clients to generate a greater understanding of the condition and the mental impact it can have. What is also included in my work is developing a treatment/management plan as well as insuring the implementation of self treatment and care. I can provide the client with the relevant exercises and garment choice including measuring and fitting if needed.

MLD Dr Vodder Method, is an advanced therapy in which the practitioner uses a unique range of movements, and gentle, rhythmic pumping techniques to move the skin in the direction of the lymph flow. This stimulates the Lymphatic system and detoxifies the body by transporting metabolic wastes, excess water, bacteria and toxins out of the body.
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a gentle whole body treatment that relaxes the nervous system and aids the body’s immune system.
It is a cleansing and highly energising treatment that leaves you feeling relaxed and in a state of enhanced wellbeing.
